Obituary
Bertha Leesman, 89, of Lincoln, passed away on
September 18, 2016 at St. Clara’s Manor in Lincoln.
Bertha was born on November 13, 1926 in Champaign
County. The daughter of Walter and Blanche (Pointer)
Bloemker. She married Leroy “Bud” Leesman in
Lincoln. He preceded her in death in 1967.
Bertha is survived by her son, Aaron Leesman; her
sister, Bessie Budde; two grandchildren, Chelsea
(Paul) Johnson and Aaron Leesman Jr.; and her five
great-grandchildren, Maya Leesman, Brinleigh Leesman,
Carter Johnson, Cooper Johnson, and Bennett Johnson.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband,
and her sisters, Eileen, Ruby, Ruth, and Juanita.

Bertha was a member of Lincoln Christian Church.
A graveside service will be held for Bertha at 1:30
p.m. on Wednesday September 21, 2016 at New Union
Cemetery in Lincoln, with Ron Otto officiating.
Services have been entrusted to
Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home, Lincoln.
