ALMH Run/Walk scheduled
for October 8th

LINCOLN
- The Abraham Lincoln Memorial Hospital Foundation and Memorial
SportsCare at ALMH announced today that the ALMH Run/Walk, formerly
known as the Moving Forward 5K/10K, has been scheduled for October 8.

This year the Run/Walk event is featuring a 5K, 10K and 5-mile trail
option. The race will start at 9am and be held at Edward Madigan
State Park in Lincoln rain or shine. This is a chip-timed and course
certified event.
The registration fee includes a long sleeve race shirt and prizes
awarded to the top finishers in a variety of age divisions. A free
200-yard kid dash will be held at 8:30am offering small prizes for
all participants 10 and under. Runners and walkers of all fitness
levels and ages can register now online at ALMH.org.
“Our mission is to improve the health of the people and communities
we serve, and what better way than through exercise? I hope that
this event encourages people of all fitness levels to get moving and
celebrate health,” said Todd Mourning, D.P.T., director of program
development at ALMH.

Proceeds from the event support local wellness programs.
Memorial SportsCare at ALMH is a full-service athletic training program for
young athletes and active adults. Services include performance enhancement,
injury prevention, concussion management, training zone programs, high-tech knee
