Prairie Engineers had solar panels installed on their Springfield
office at 6405 Canadian Cross in late 2014, and will join 130 other
Illinois sites hosting tours on Saturday, October 1st from 10 am to
3 pm. Their office can be reached by taking the Toronto Road exit on
Interstate 55 and heading south on the west frontage road (Canadian
Cross).
“Choosing to install a solar photovoltaic system at our new office
in Springfield was an easy decision to make,” reports Lisa Kramer,
President of Prairie Engineers. “This project aligns with one of our
core values of creating a more sustainable built environment, and
with a breakeven point of less than four years, it’s a smart
investment for our future.”
The tour sites are recognized as clean energy leaders for their
participation on the 2016 Illinois Solar Tour. Tour hosts will
demonstrate their systems and answer questions on how you too can
harness the power of the sun and wind to fuel your home and
business. Participating Springfield area sites are:
- Prairie Engineers of Illinois, P.C. (6405 Canadian Cross)
- The Bicycle Doctor (1037 N. 5th Street)
- The Johnson residence (2249 Grandview Avenue)
