April 3 (The Sports Xchange) -
Shortly after receiving his stolen Super Bowl jerseys back from team
owner Robert Kraft, New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady
almost lost -- all in fun -- the Super Bowl LI jersey in front of
nearly 40,000 witnesses.
Kraft tweeted a video on Monday from his suburban Boston home in
which he returned Brady's Super Bowl jerseys, one of which went
missing after New England's stunning comeback victory over the
Atlanta Falcons in the Super Bowl in Houston on Feb. 5.
Within a matter of a few hours, Brady found himself chasing down
another would-be thief in the person of team mate and star Patriots
tight end Rob Gronkowski.
Set to throw out the first pitch at Opening Day for the Boston Red
Sox, Brady held the retrieved jersey aloft to the cheers of an
adoring crowd at Fenway Park.
Suddenly, Gronkowski interrupted the festivities, leaping from
behind to snag the jersey and running toward second base with Brady
in not-so-heated pursuit.
Brady "tackled" his team mate in short right field and grabbed the
jersey back while the partisan throng roared.

Adrian Peterson remains on the lookout for an NFL home.
The former Minnesota Vikings running back's visit with the New
England Patriots ended without a deal being struck, multiple outlets
reported.
The visit was Peterson's second since the Vikings released him March
9. He previously visited the Seattle Seahawks.

The Washington Redskins agreed to terms on a one-year deal with free

Brown enjoyed a Pro Bowl season with the Buffalo Bills in 2016,
collecting a team-high 149 tackles that ranked second in the NFL.
The 27-year-old also had four sacks, one interception and two forced
fumbles.

The NFL and HBO agreed to extend the run of "Hard Knocks," a
behind-the-scenes reality television show of the league's training
camps.
According to Sports Business Journal, "Hard Knocks" will remain on
HBO for at least the next four seasons.

Mississippi quarterback Chad Kelly exited school's Pro Day after
only 12 throws after aggravating an injury to his throwing wrist.
The injury is considered a short-term issue and Kelly told teams he
plans to throw again on April 22, less than a week prior to the 2017
NFL Draft.

The Detroit Lions signed free agent linebacker Nick Bellore to add
depth at the position.
The 6-foot-1, 250-pound Bellore comes to Detroit after spending the
previous two seasons with the San Francisco 49ers. He appeared in 14
games (10 starts) last season and totaled 83 tackles, one sack, one
interception, five pass defenses, one forced fumble and one fumble
recovery.

The Minnesota Vikings signed punter Ryan Quigley, the team
announced.
Quigley will be joining his fourth team in five seasons. He appeared
in six games and averaged 44.5 yards per punt last season with the
Arizona Cardinals. (Editing by Gene Cherry) [© 2017 Thomson Reuters. All
