The show features operating model train layouts
in multiple scales as well as special programming each day.
Saturday’s show runs from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. and on Sunday,
from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Admission is $5 and kids 12 and under
are free.
Event coordinator David Gentry says attendees will be taken back to
a simpler time. “This event reminds us of our childhood, of places
we have been or would like to go. It’s also about the fun of
watching a small electric train pull cars past us and disappear into
the distance just like the real thing.”
Gentry adds that people of all ages should come out and enjoy the
wonder of trains. “Heartland is a valuable resource in our community
and Trains in the Heartland is an opportunity to see first-hand what
Heartland can offer,” Gentry said.
