Shirley A. Floyd, 91, of Paxton, formerly of Atlanta, passed away at 10:40 p.m. on Monday, March 27, 2017, at Carle Foundation Hospital in Urbana.

Memorial Services for Mrs. Floyd will be held on Saturday, April 1, 2017, at 11:00 a.m. at Quiram-Peasley Funeral Home in Atlanta.  Burial will be in the Atlanta Cemetery.  Cremation Rites have been accorded.

Shirley Adelle Bishop was born July 25, 1925, in Logan County, the daughter of Harry and Litta Ferguson Bishop.  She married Albert Floyd.  He preceded her in death.

Shirley is survived by one sister: Matilda McRoberts of Paxton, one granddaughter: Rana; nine great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, their son Dennis Floyd,  three sisters: Harriett Boyd, Sarah Loving, and Jessie Frantz; and one brother: Harry Jr. Bishop.

Shirley worked at State Farm, followed by many years at the Country Aire Restaurant in Atlanta.

Memorials may be made to the Atlanta Rescue Squad.

Final arrangements are entrusted with Quiram-Peasley Funeral Home of Atlanta.
