[April 14, 2017]  WASHINGTON -- Tom Wilson scored 5:15 into overtime to lift the Washington Capitals to a come-from-behind, 3-2 win over the Toronto Maple Leafs in Game 1 of their first-round playoff series on Thursday.

Wilson stopped a clearing attempt in the Toronto zone, moved into the right circle and fired high past Frederik Andersen for his first career playoff goal.

Justin Williams scored twice, his fourth career postseason multi-goal game, and Braden Holtby stopped 35 shots for the Presidents' Trophy winners.

The Maple Leafs took a 2-0 lead on first-period goals by rookie Mitchell Marner and Jake Gardiner. Williams answered with one in the first period and one in the second. Andersen finished with 41 saves.

Predators 1, Blackhawks 0

CHICAGO -- Viktor Arvidsson scored a goal and Pekka Rinne made 29 saves in his second career playoff shutout as Nashville beat Chicago in Game 1 of their Western Conference first-round playoff series.

Rinne made 11 saves in the third period and preserved the victory in the final two minutes when the Blackhawks pulled Corey Crawford to gain an extra attacker.

Arvidsson redirected a Filip Forsberg shot and past Crawford at the 7:52 mark of the first period for the game's lone goal.

Ducks 3, Flames 2

ANAHEIM -- Ryan Getzlaf and Jakob Silfverberg each had a goal and an assist, and Anaheim seized momentum from visiting Calgary with a Game 1 win in a first-round Western Conference playoff series.

Rickard Rakell also scored for the Ducks, while John Gibson made 30 saves.

Brian Elliott made 38 saves and Sean Monahan and Sam Bennett scored for the Flames.
