Penguins 5, Blue Jackets 4 (overtime)
Jake Guentzel scored his third goal of the game at 13:10 of
overtime, and the Pittsburgh Penguins took a commanding 3-0 lead in
their first-round Eastern Conference playoff series with a 5-4
victory over the Columbus Blue Jackets on Sunday.
Bryan Rust had two goals for the Penguins, who rallied from an early
3-1 deficit to take a 4-3 lead in the third period. Evgeni Malkin
contributed three assists, and Phil Kessel and Sidney Crosby had two
assists each for the Penguins.
Cam Atkinson scored two first-period goals for the Blue Jackets.
Zach Werenski and Brandon Dubinsky also had goals, and Nick Foligno
added two assists.
Canadiens 3, Rangers 1
Alexander Radulov had a goal and an assist, and Montreal used a
suffocating defense to beat New York in Game 3 of their first-round
series at Madison Square Garden. The Canadiens hold a 2-1 lead in
the best-of-seven Eastern Conference series that resumes Tuesday
night.
Carey Price made 20 saves. He had his shutout spoiled by the
Rangers' Brady Skjei with 2:56 remaining and goaltender Henrik
Lundqvist (26 saves) on the bench for an extra attacker.

Blues 3, Wild 1
Jaden Schwartz scored a power-play goal late in the second period to
send St. Louis to a win over Minnesota and to a 3-0 lead in their
first-round Western Conference playoff series.
Jake Allen, who stopped 74 of 76 Wild shots in the first two games
on the road, made 40 saves, including 19 in the third period, as the
Blues once again stymied the high-scoring Minnesota offense that
finished second in the NHL in the regular season with 266 goals.
Oilers 1, Sharks 0
Zack Kassian broke a scoreless tie midway through the third period,
and the Edmonton Oilers held on for a 1-0 win over the San Jose
Sharks on Sunday.
San Jose incurred its second consecutive shutout loss to fall into a
2-1 hole in the best-of-seven Western Conference quarterfinal series
that resumes with Game 4 at SAP Center on Thursday. (Compiled by
