Vancouver Canucks forward Brendan Gaunce will undergo surgery
after missing the final month of the regular season with a
shoulder injury, the team announced.
While the team did not divulge a timeline for recovery, The
Province noted that it could range from four to six months.

St. Louis Blues defenseman Jordan Schmaltz was assigned to the
Chicago Wolves of the American Hockey League.
Schmaltz collected two assists and four penalty minutes in nine
regular-season games with the Blues. A first-round pick of the
2012 draft, Schmaltz made his NHL postseason debut in Game 1 of
the Western Conference first-round series versus the Minnesota
Wild on April 12.
