							Obituary 
							Lawrence L. Hill, 79, of Elkhart, passed away on 
							Wednesday, April 12, 2017, at St. Clara's Manor in 
							Lincoln. 
							 
							Graveside services for Mr. Hill will be held on 
							Monday, April 17, 2017, at 1:00 p.m. at Zion 
							Cemetery. Cremation Rites have been accorded. 
							 
							Visitation will be held at Peasley Funeral Home on 
							Sunday, April 16, 2017, from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 
							p.m. 
							 
							Lawrence L. Hill was born in Cantrall March 25, 
							1938, the son of Melvin T. and Lillian G. Brant 
							Hill. He married Eva Harris in 1959. She preceded 
							him in death. He married Julia Smith-Oberreiter on 
							Sept. 21, 2013. She survives. 
							Lawrence is also survived by his children: Lisa 
							(Tim) Pruitt of Lincoln and Lori Hill of Lincoln; 
							grandchildren: Mathieu (Laura) Helton and Samantha 
							Helton of Lincoln; seven great-grandchildren; four 
							step-children: Michael (Emily) Oberreiter of Mount 
							Pulaski, Theresa (Jay Frietshe) Clancy of 
							Springfield, Mary (Tom) Fine of Springfield, and 
							Donna (Rod) Boyd of Lincoln; and seven 
							step-grandchildren.  | 
							
							 
                
                  
                He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers: Melvin 
				Hill, Jr. and F. Lee Hill; and three sisters: a twin, Laura, and 
				Cora Bingham and Jacqueline Brown. 
				 
				Lawrence served in the U.S. Navy and Navy Reserves. He was a 
				retired Lincoln Police Sergeant. He had worked part-time for 
				Leverton Auctions and J & S Auto Centre in Lincoln. He had also 
				worked at Lehn & Fink and Stetson China. 
				 
				Memorials may be to Lincoln DARE program in care of the Lincoln 
				Police Department. 
				 
				Final arrangements are entrusted with Peasley Funeral Home of 
				Lincoln.
