							Obituary 
							 
							Gerald Goodman, 72, of Mount Pulaski, died 
							peacefully at 9:15 a.m. on April 8, 2017 at his 
							home. 
							 
							He was born at St. Clara’s Hospital in Lincoln on 
							July 27, 1944; son of Carl J. and Olive M. (Pope) 
							Goodman. He married Gloria J. Garrett on September 
							17, 1965. She survives him. 
							 
							Also surviving are his daughters: Mary Viner and 
							Gail Johnson; grandchildren: Benjamin and Daniel 
							Goodman, Andrew and Joseph Viner, and Abigail 
							Johnson; siblings; Alice (Hermie), Violet, Esther, 
							Carl “Junior”, Linda, Marjorie, Susie, and Robert; 
							also many beloved nieces and nephews. He was 
							preceded in death by his parents, son: Jerald Wayne, 
							and brothers: Dennis and Donald.

							Gerald worked as a Corn Sheller, a factory worker, 
							carpenter, realtor and appraiser. He worked for 
							Stetson China, Myers Industries, Local Council of 
							Carpenter and Joiners, Albert Realty and ABC&G Real 
							Estate and appraised many local homes. 
							 
							Services for Gerald will be 10:00 a.m. Wednesday 
							April 12, 2017 at Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral 
							Home in Mount Pulaski, with Rev. Zoila Marty 
							officiating. Visitation will be from 5:00-7:00 p.m. 
							Tuesday April 11, 2017 also at the funeral home. 
							Burial at Mount Pulaski Cemetery will follow the 
							service. Gerald was a lifelong member of Mount 
							Pulaski United Methodist Church and contributions 
							may be made to the church in Gerald’s name In lieu 
							of flowers.
