NBA roundup: Spurs, Raptors advance

MEMPHIS, Tenn. -- Kawhi Leonard scored 29 points, and the San Antonio Spurs advanced to the second round of the Western Conference playoffs by defeating the Memphis Grizzlies 103-96 on Thursday night at FedExForum.

San Antonio, which won for the first time in Memphis this season, captured the series 4-2. The Spurs will play the Houston Rockets in the second round beginning Monday.

Tony Parker added 27 points for the Spurs while LaMarcus Aldridge had 17 points and 12 rebounds.

The Grizzlies got 26 points from Mike Conley -- his fifth consecutive game with 20 or more -- and 18 from Marc Gasol. Zach Randolph finished with 13 points and 11 rebounds.

San Antonio survived a strong challenge from Memphis by dominating on the boards 46-28.

Raptors 92, Bucks 89

MILWAUKEE -- Toronto blew a 25-point second-half lead but used a 9-0 run late in the fourth quarter to knock Milwaukee out of the playoffs.

DeMar DeRozan led the way, scoring 32 points on 12-of-24 shooting, including a thunderous dunk with 48 seconds to play. Kyle Lowry added 13 points for the Raptors, who shot 45.7 percent. Toronto advances to face defending NBA champion Cleveland in the second round in a rematch of last season's Eastern Conference finals.

The Bucks' Giannis Antetokounmpo scored 34 points and grabbed nine rebounds in 47 minutes but went 7 of 13 from the free-throw line. Milwaukee made only 18 of its 28 foul shots.
