Lincoln Daily News
welcomes letters of appreciation, information and
opinion on matters pertaining to the community.
Controversial issues:
As a
community we need to be able to talk openly about
matters that affect the quality of our lives. The
most effective and least offensive manner to get
your point across is to stick to the issue
and refrain from commenting on another person's
opinion. Letters that deviate from focusing on the
issue may be rejected or edited and marked as such.

To the editor: Thank you to everyone who helped to make the Humane
Society of Logan County’s garage sale a great success again this
year. As always, the response to our request for donations was
amazing. Each item donated contributed to our success. Thank you to
Sue Newman and the many volunteers who donated hundreds of hours
receiving, sorting, pricing and displaying goods. Business partners
helped defray our costs with their contributions. Thank you Mike
Maske and the Logan County Fair Association, Styles by Robin, Kara
Schmidt, Roger Krabbe and Thrivent Financial, Care Van Pet Program,
Area Disposal and MKS Jewelry. And the local news media always help
promote our events.

Because of the ongoing community support of our programs, the HSLC
continues making a difference in the lives of homeless and neglected
animals in Logan County. We invite you to stop by our shelter at
1801 East Lincoln Parkway to see what you have helped us achieve.
Marilyn Wheat,
Humane Society of Logan County,
Ways and Means Committee
