Obituary
Elizabeth Jane Hamm, 95, formally of Peoria, passed
from this life on June 29, 2017 at Meadows Mennonite
Retirement Community, Chenoa.
Jane was born in Lewiston, on March 30, 1922 to
Whitnah and Irma Campbell. She graduated from
Lewiston High School. Jane married Kenneth Hamm on
December 14, 1941. Together they had a daughter,
Barbara (Bob) Walter of Appleton, WI, and son,
Richard (Betty) Hamm of Hudson.
Since the 1950’s, Jane was a member of Timber Lake
Country Club where she enjoyed golfing, swimming,
camping and many friends. She was a proud member of
the DAR, Lewiston chapter. Theatre was a passion and
Jane was a longtime supporter of Peoria Players and
Cornstock Theatre. Jane was member of University
United Methodist Church and was actively involved in
volunteering at the Corner Closet. She was blessed
to travel worldwide with her husband and loved
vacationing on Sanibel Island, FL.

Jane is survived by her son, Rick (Betty) Hamm; four
grandchildren: Robert (Sarah) Walter, Kelly (Scott)
Smith, Stacey Hamm and Adam (Heather) Hamm, four
great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth,
and daughter Barb. Jane was beloved and will be
greatly missed. The family would like to say a
special thank you to the nursing staff and aides at
the Meadows Memory Unit who always made sure Jane
had what she needed and was well cared for.
Services for Jane will be held at 11:00 a.m. on
Monday, July 3, 2017 at Fricke-Calvert-Schrader
Funeral Home in Lincoln with Brandon Boyd
officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior
to services (10:00-11:00 a.m.) also at the funeral
home. Burial will take place at Oak Hill Cemetery in
Lewistown, at 2:30 p.m. on Monday, July 3, 2017 with
pastor Penny Frame officiating.
Memorial donations may be made to the memory unit at
Meadows Mennonite Retirement Community, Chenoa.
