SPRINGFIELD - At
this year’s Illinois State Fair, the Illinois Department on Aging (IDoA)
hosts a variety of activities for older adults, their families and
friends on Senior Day, Monday, August 14th.

The event is open to the public and adults age 60 and
older receive complimentary admittance into the fair that day.
A booth with additional information about IDoA programs and services
it provides is also available.

10:30 a.m. – 9:00 p.m.

10:30 a.m.: Welcome & Introduction by Paul Palazzolo,
Sangamon County Circuit Clerk

11:00 a.m.: The “NOT SO Newlywed Game”

1:00 p.m.: 2017 Illinois Senior Spelling Bee Finals –

9:00 a.m. to 3 p.m.: Free health screenings in the open
exhibit area. Includes: Home safety, bone health, colo-rectal,
memory assessment, diabetes, fall risks, eye care and health
assessments.
6:00 – 9:00 p.m.: Ballroom Dancing[to top of second
