Lincoln Taekwondo excels at Douglas Grose Memorial Martial Arts Tournament

[August 14, 2017]  Results of competitors from Lincoln Taekwondo in Lincoln, Illinois who participated in the Douglas Grose Memorial Martial Arts Tournament held August 5th, 2017 in Peoria, Illinois. The event was hosted by Master Vera Harrison of Harrison and Dorris College of Martial Arts in Peoria, Illinois.

Master Vera Harrison conducted a very well organized tournament with participants from throughout the United States.

This day was a pleasant experience for our Lincoln competitors. It was a fun time spent with a strong group of quality competitors from a variety of Martial Arts styles. I would like to express a sincere thank you to the judges and referees who demonstrated professionalism and fair play throughout a very efficiently run competition.

The Lincoln Club earned 20 first places, six 2nd places, and four 3rd places!

Eleven of our thirteen Lincoln competitors who participated in Olympic Style Sparring Competition resulted in eight 1st places and three 2nd places. Eleven of our thirteen competitors participating in Forms Competition resulted in seven 1st places, two 2nd places and two 3rd places in their respective divisions. Eight of our thirteen competitors who participated in Breaking resulted in five 1st places, one 2nd place, and two 3rd places.
