Each show at LAI is attracting new artists from
throughout central Illinois and new forms of art. This time was no
exception. Ceramic and glass pottery, a mobile, and new techniques
for applying paint to canvas were on display.
Even the floor space was turned into art. “It wasn’t planned, but
most of the guests and artists to the show tonight were wearing
blue. This turned the gallery into one large work of art with moving
parts,” said gallery owner Moses Pinkerton. His observation was
true. When asked about the blue clothes they were wearing, most
attendees just shrugged and said it was really not planned. They
just grabbed the first thing to wear and headed out the door.
