Mount Pulaski hosted Decatur LSA Thursday afternoon at Frazier
Park and the Bruins came away with a 14-4 victory in 7 innings.
Mount Pulaski had 8 hits, with Gavin Smith and Lucas Kuhlman
each having 2 hits. Evan Cooper had a double for Mount Pulaski.
Gavin Smith was the starting pitcher for Mount Pulaski and he
earned the win. Landon Smith and Evan Cooper both pitched in
relief. The three pitchers combined to strike out 17 Decatur
batters and only allowed 4 hits. Mount Pulaski batters only
struck out twice in the game.
The Bruins next game is Saturday at 11 a.m. at Warrensburg.
