Lincoln Junior High School Girls Softball Team wins tournament

[August 22, 2017]    Lincoln Junior High School Girls Softball Team hosted a round robin tournament on Saturday with four teams participating. The hosts won the tournament by winning three games on the day.

 

 

LJHS won the first game 11-1 over Washington Saint Patrick.

Abbie Glenn was the winning pitcher with eight strikeouts and one walk issued.

Glenn also had a triple and two singles offensively. Cara Farnam added a triple in the game for Lincoln. Sailym Reid and Cassie Bridge added doubles. Alex Eads, Ryen Stoltzenburg and Olivia Morrow each had singles.

Lincoln vs Champaign Edison

In the second game Lincoln demolished Champaign Edison 17-0.

Winning pitcher Cara Farnam had five strikeouts and two walks.

Alex Eads slugged a home run in this game. Abbie Glenn had three singles at the plate for Lincoln. Ryen Stoltzenburg contributed a double and Riley Tungate added a single.

Lincoln vs Brimfield

Lincoln defeated Brimfield 9-6 in the third game of the day to win the tournament.

Abbie Glenn struck out ten batters and issued three walks on her way to securing the win for Lincoln.

Cara Farnam tripled in this game. Alex Eads, Adi Rumler, Riley Tungate and Olivia Morrow all added singles.

The LJHS girls are coached by Bryan Carroll.
