(The Sports Xchange) - The Los
Angeles Dodgers placed first baseman/outfielder Cody Bellinger and
left-hander Alex Wood on the 10-day disabled list on Tuesday.
Bellinger, the standout rookie, suffered a mild right ankle sprain
while playing the outfield in Detroit on Sunday. The All-Star leads
MLB-best Los Angeles with 34 home runs and 79 RBIs.

The Cleveland Indians placed left-hander Andrew Miller and
right-hander Danny Salazar on the 10-day disabled list, the team
announced.
Miller, who is dealing with patellar tendonitis in his right knee,
exited Monday's game against the Boston Red Sox after making seven
pitches in the seventh inning. The All-Star reliever had just
returned from a 16-day stint on the disabled list.

Umpire Hunter Wendelstedt is being monitored for concussion-like
symptoms and won't work the rest of the series between the Boston
Red Sox and Cleveland Indians.
Wendelstedt left Monday's game after getting hit on his facemask by
a warmup pitch from Boston pitcher Joe Kelly in the sixth inning.

The Texas Rangers placed slugger Joey Gallo on the seven-day
concussion list.
The infielder, who is tied for second in the American League with 35
homers, was injured in Sunday's game against the Chicago White Sox.
Gallo collided with right-hander Matt Bush while chasing after a
popup near third base and suffered a fractured nose as well as
experiencing concussion-like symptoms.

The Chicago White Sox recalled right-hander Lucas Giolito from
Triple-A Charlotte and optioned right-hander Brad Goldberg.

Giolito, who was acquired along with right-handers
Reynaldo Lopez and Dane Dunning in the deal that sent center fielder
Adam Eaton to the Washington Nationals over the winter, is getting
his first chance to impress his new major league club after going
6-10 with a 4.48 ERA in 24 starts for Charlotte.

The Boston Red Sox placed right-hander Matt Barnes on the 10-day
disabled list with a lower back strain, the team announced.
Fellow right-hander Hector Velazquez was recalled from Triple-A
Pawtucket to replace Barnes, who owns a 6-3 mark with a 3.60 ERA
this season.

New York Yankees right-hander Masahiro Tanaka was activated from the
10-day disabled list to start Tuesday's series opener against the
Detroit Tigers, the team announced.
Tanaka, who was sidelined due to right shoulder inflammation, has
battled elbow injuries over the last two years.

Hall of Fame broadcaster Rafael "Felo" Ramirez, who served as the
Spanish radio voice of the Miami Marlins since their inaugural
season, died on Monday at the age of 94, the team announced.
Ramirez had been hospitalized since April 26 after he hit his head
