			August 16, 2017, at Champaign Regional Rehab.  |

							Obituary 
							 Lowell K. Aper, 90, of Savoy, formerly of Emden, 
							passed away August 16, 2017, at Champaign Regional 
							Rehab. 
							 
							Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. Wednesday, August 
							23, 2017, at Holland Barry & Bennett Funeral Home in 
							Lincoln. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. 
							Thursday, August 24, 2017, also at the funeral home. 
							Burial will follow in Hartsburg Union Cemetery. 
							 
							Mr. Aper was born November 23, 1926, the son of John 
							and Anna (Luken) Aper. He married Patricia R. Murray 
							on July 10, 1954. She preceded him in death on 
							February 21, 2008. 
							 
							Mr. Aper is survived by three sons: Michael (Dawn) 
							Aper of Savoy, David Aper of Geneseo, and Stephen 
							(Susan) Aper of St. Louis, MO.  
							He had nine grandchildren. He is also survived by 
							four brothers and two sisters.   | 
							
							 
  
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, one daughter-in-law, one grandson, and one brother. 
 
He served in the United States Army in 1946-1947. He was a member of the Emden 
Volunteer Fire Department for over 50 years. He also was a Red Cross Blood Donor 
having donated over 23 gallons. 
 
Memorial donations may be made to the Emden Volunteer Fire Department and will 
be accepted at the funeral home.
