[August 25, 2017]  LINCOLN - Mary Ann Cooper, 76, of Lincoln passed away on Tuesday, August 15, 2017 at Memorial Medical Center in Springfield.

Visitation: 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Monday, August 21, 2017 at Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home in Lincoln

Service: 11 a.m. Monday at the funeral home

Obituary

Mary Ann Cooper, 76, of Lincoln passed away on Tuesday, August 15, 2017 at Memorial Medical Center in Springfield.

Mary Ann was born on February 28, 1941 in Delavan, the daughter of Thomas and Genevieve (Gabbett) Murphy. She married Robert S. Cooper on December 17, 1966 in Peoria. He survives in Lincoln.

Mary Ann is also survived by her brother, William (Bobby) Murphy of Morton, and her sister, Patricia Murphy of Grover, MO. Additionally she is survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

Mary Ann began her career at Lehn & Fink in 1960; she retired after 36 years on June 14, 1996. Mary Ann loved spending time in Florida, especially walking the beaches and picking up seashells. She was also an avid Chicago Cubs fan.

 

Mary Ann was preceded in death by her parents, her sister, Martha; her brother-in-law, Dan Stephenson; and her stepson, Darren Scott Cooper.

Services for Mary Ann will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, August 21, 2017 at Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home in Lincoln, with Rev. Jeffrey Laible officiating. Visitation will take place two hours prior to the service from 9:00-11:00 a.m. on Monday, August 21, 2017 also at the funeral home. Burial will take place after the services at New Union Cemetery in Lincoln.

Memorial donations may be made in Mary Ann’s name to Holy Family Parish or Donor’s Choice.
