Obituary
Ilda M. Heyen, 96, of Greenview passed away on
Saturday, August 19, 2017 at 5:52 a.m. at Abraham
Lincoln Memorial Hospital.
A Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday, August
23, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at the Middletown United
Methodist Church with Rev. Don Goodenow officiating.
A visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until time
of service.
Burial will be in Irish Grove Cemetery rural
Middletown.
Ilda M. Boward was born on January 14, 1921 in
Middletown the daughter of George and Birdie Giertz
Boward. She was
united in marriage to Rudolph Heyen on July 26,
1941. He preceded her in death on January 8, 1986.
She is survived by her two sons: Rudy Heyen of
Greenview, Gary (Janet) Heyen of Springfield, Five
grandchildren: Lori (Eric Leever) Heyen, Brent
(Jennifer Barton) Heyen, Tamara (Tim) Thompson,
Marty (Fiancee Angela Park) Heyen, Matthew (Nichole)
Heyen. Eleven great grandchildren and one great
great granddaughter. Three sisters: Mina Dambacher,
Harriet Richardson, Ellen (Paul) Mason.
She was preceded in death by two grandsons: Michael
D. Heyen, Kevin W. Heyen, Two sisters: Minnie
Carpenter, Norma Duncan, Three brothers: Ted Boward,
Albert Boward, Raymond Boward. |
She was a member of the Middletown Methodist Church
and the Middletown American Legion Post Auxilary for
70 years.
Memorials may be made to the Middletown United
Methodist Church or Middletown American Legion
Auxilery.
Peasley Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
