[August 25, 2017]  LINCOLN - Sue Ann Irving, 71, of Lincoln, passed away on Tuesday, August 8, 2017 at Memorial Medical Center, Springfield.

Visitation: Noon to 2 p.m. Friday, August 11, 2017 at Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home in Lincoln

Service: 2 p.m. Friday at the funeral home

Obituary

Sue Ann Irving, 71, of Lincoln, passed away on Tuesday, August 8, 2017 at Memorial Medical Center, Springfield.

Sue was born on October 26, 1945 in Quincy, the daughter of Clyde and Edna May (Proctor) Sloniger. She married Robert Samuel Irving in 1963 in Lincoln. He preceded her in death on August 11, 1991.

Sue is survived by her son, Robert Irving of Lincoln, her siblings; Dean (Pat) Sloniger and Evelyn Knight; many nieces and nephews; and her beloved miniature poodle Cloe.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and her brother Robert Sloniger.

 

Sue was a member of Jefferson Street Christian Church. She enjoyed local history and genealogy, as well as planting in her garden. Sue also loved spending time cruising down country roads with her son and her dog in her son’s 1968 Chevy Caprice.

Services for Sue will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, August 11, 2017 at Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home in Lincoln. Visitation will be held two hours prior to the service (12:00-2:00 p.m.) on Friday, August 11, 2017 also at the funeral home. Burial will follow the services at New Union Cemetery in Lincoln.

Memorial donations may be made in Sue’s name to Jefferson Street Christian Church or Mount Pulaski Christian Church.
