08/26/2017 NBA Note - Dallas Mavericks Noel,
Nerlens
F/C Nerlens Noel, who was a restricted free gent, signed a
one-year qualifying offer of $4.1 million to return to the
Dallas Mavericks for the 2017-18 season, according to multiple
reports Saturday. The signing comes less than a week after Noel
replaced his agent with Klutch Sports Group's Rich Paul, who
also represents LeBron James of the Cleveland Cavaliers. Noel,
23, will become an unrestricted free agent next offseason. The
6-foot-11, 228-pound Noel averaged 8.5 points, 6.8 rebounds, 1.1
blocks and 22 minutes in 22 games for the Mavericks after
arriving in Dallas at the trade deadline from the Philadelphia
76ers.
