LINCOLN
- The Oasis Senior Center is announcing the retirement of Dom
Dalpoas as Chief Executive Officer after seventeen years of service
occurring at the end of the year. The Oasis Senior Center was
established in 1984 and today consists of over 1000 members.
“Looking back over the past seventeen years I have seen the initial
generation of seniors pass and have witnessed the Oasis welcome a
new generation with different needs, wants and desires” says Dom
upon reflection of the growth of the center. Dom was instrumental in
guiding the Oasis through the devastating fire of 2013 and witnessed
Logan County come together with what he describes as love, support
and caring for the Oasis which was a humbling experience.

Dom plans on spending more time with his family in retirement,
but keeping active in the community and with the Oasis. “I want to thank all the
volunteers who give of themselves without any fanfare or recognition since it is
truly the volunteers who make the Oasis Senior Center the best it can be”.
