Obituary
Betty L. Griffin, 85, of Lincoln, passed away on
Tuesday, August 22, 2017, at The Christian Village
Nursing Home in Lincoln.
Funeral Services for Mrs. Griffin will be held on
Monday, August 28, 2017, at 10:00 a.m. at the
Peasley Funeral Home with Mr. Gil Gandenberger
officiating.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00
p.m. on Sunday, August 27, 2017 at the funeral home.
Burial will be in New Union Cemetery.
Betty L. Hamilton was born on November 7, 1931, in
Winchester, Ill. the daughter of Raymond and Edna
Crabtree Hamilton. She was united in marriage to
Herschel Griffin in 1954. He preceded her in death
in 1993.
She is survived by her daughter: Audra (Brian)
Turley of Lincoln; one granddaughter: Faith Turley;
and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by one brother: Robert
Hamilton.
Betty graduated from the Hartsburg High School in
1949. She was employed at Audra’s Dance Studio for
fifteen years. Previously, she had worked as a
hairdresser and at Stetson’s China Factory. Betty
also sold Mary Kay cosmetics for nearly 30 years.
She loved to read and sew, having sewed many, many
dance costumes.
Memorials may be made to Grace Point Short-Term
Rehab.
Final arrangements are entrusted with Peasley
Funeral Home of Lincoln.
