Obituary

William Joseph “Joe” Crowe, 64, of Bloomington, passed away July 31, 2017 at his home.

Cremation rites have been accorded by Holland Barry & Bennett Funeral Home, Lincoln. Burial will be at 11 a.m. Friday, August 11, 2017 at Camp Butler National Cemetery, Springfield. A Celebration of Life will be held at 6  p.m. Friday, August 11, 2017 at Jefferson Street Christian Church, Lincoln.

Joe was born December 5, 1952 in Bloomington, IL., the son of Harold and Dorothy (Holmes) Crowe. He married Elizabeth Ruder on February 23, 1980.

He proudly served his country in the United States Army. Joe was a member of Jefferson Street Christian Church and the Odd Fellows Lodge 204. He was formerly employed at Logan Correctional and held several other security positions.

 

Surviving are his wife Elizabeth of Bloomington, son Jason (Aimee) Crowe of Florissant, MO., daughter Christina Crowe of Bloomington, grandchildren: Gabby, Gracie, Galia, Greggory, and Brianna, brother Harold Crowe of Peoria, brother David Crowe of Effingham, sister Lea Ann Pulver of MT, sister Linda Linville of St. Charles, MO., and sister Bonnie Briggs of Kansas City, MO.

He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers James Crowe, Kevin Crowe, and Paul Crowe.
