		 Send a link to a friend On Tuesday the Logan 
			County Genealogical and Historical Society, located right across the 
			street from the Lincoln Depot, hosted its Holiday Open House.

            |  The center for the society is manned 
			by all volunteers, including Joanne Marlin, who on Tuesday morning 
			was greeting guests and offering up tasty sweets and beverages.

            |  Other LCG&HS members were on hand to 
			visit with guests and explain all the treasures that can be found at 
			the center.

			 Local author and society member, Bill 
			Donath, was on hand with copies of his latest book. Anyone making a 
			purchase was treated to an opportunity to have the book signed by 
			the author.

			 The Society was also selling a printed copy of it's membership 
			newsletter for the fourth quarter, which by design contained a 
			history of the life of the Lincoln Depot.

			The center is open each Tuesday, 
			Thursday, and Friday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. and the second and 
			fourth Saturday of the month from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. This LCG&HS is a 
			great place to Christmas shop with a nice selection of books by 
			local authors, many relating to local history and also the history 
			of Abraham Lincoln, the city of Lincoln, and other communities 
			around the county.
