Lincoln College Coach Matt Vavro was again
proud of his team’s performance on the road. Vavro said, “Our
defense really led the charge on Saturday. We forced 26
turnovers and only committed 4. This was a big part in us taking
40 more attempts from the field than MU.”
LC also collected 19 steals in the game which led to numerous
fast-break opportunities.
Evanston Township High School grad Allysah Boothe led the team
in scoring with a season high 34 points, hitting on 5 of 8 three
point attempts. Sophomore Erynn Young (Indianapolis) also had a
big game by contributing 21 points, 9 assists and 6 rebounds.
In all, six Lincoln players reached double digits in scoring,
including Kaleia Monteiro who had a double-double by scoring 12
points and grabbing a season high 20 rebounds.
The win improves the team’s record to a perfect 12-0 on the
season. LC will next play at Southeastern Iowa CC on December
16th.
