Lincoln College Wrestlers Fair Well at Art Kraft Open

[December 11, 2017]    The Lincoln College Wrestling team competed this weekend at the 50th annual Art Kraft memorial wrestling tournament held at Trition College.

 

Nine LC wrestlers placed out of thirteen who were entered in the open tournament including two division champions.

Sophomore Christian Kanzler (Fox Lake) was champion of the 141 lbs. division and freshman Chris Middlebrooks (Oak Lawn) took first place at 285 lbs.

Third place finishes were turned in by Logan Winter (197 lbs.) and Josh McKinney (157 lbs.). Winter is a freshman from Clinton, IL and McKinney is a freshman from Canton, IL.

Other Lynx to place a the event included Joey Riviera (4th @ 125 lbs.), Jevonte Yarbrough (4th @ 141 lbs.), Shaylan Loomis (6th @ 157 lbs.), Kyle Goin (6th @ 165 lbs.) and Jordan Brandon (6th @ 285 lbs.).

This was the last event for the Lynx wrestlers before Christmas break. The next event for the LC will be the National Duals held in Fort Wayne Indiana on January 4th and 5th.
