LINCOLN
- Everyone knows Santa hit town on Thursday evening with the parade.
He set aside two hours the Lincoln Park District on Saturday morning
for kids to come whisper their biggest wishes in his ear.

The event was free to all with the Park District
serving as hosts, and WLCN 96.3 FM and IGA as sponsors.
Program Director Abigail Neece and her mom welcomed families as they
entered the community ball room. There was a steady flow of families
going this way and that with everyone enjoying themselves.
Activities included three different crafts, make and take reindeer
food, cookies and milk, and of course a chance to talk privately
with Santa. But, when it came time to
approach the 'throne' on the stage with the big man and a helper,
each child had their own response. Emotions showed all over their
full body and ranged from trepidation: what if Santa really does
know everything - to charmed joy: I'm so glad to see you, yes, I've
been so good.

National Honor Society students were on hand to facilitate, aid
and serve at all of the stations. Their smiles made everything
better.
Geoff Ladd was manning the video recorder for WLCN Radio. WLCN
96.3 FM provides country music by day and classic rock by night.
