Obituary
Martha J. “Marty” Hendrickson, 88, of
Lincoln passed away on Sunday, December 17, 2017 at
St. Clara’s Manor in Lincoln.
Martha was born on June 5, 1929 in Bloomington, the
daughter of Charles and Katherine (Gilbert) Nichols.
She married Ralph Hendrickson on June 3, 1950 in
Lincoln, he survives her in Lincoln.
Martha is also survived by her children: Julie (Joe)
Daugherty, Sue (Bruce) McWilliams, and Steven
Hendrickson; her brother: Gene (Pat) Nichols; four
grandchildren; nineteen great-grandchildren; and
eleven great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her
brothers, Don and Jerry; and her sister, Judy.

Martha was retired after working for
Dr. Carroll, Dr. Ulrich, and Dr. Tomlinson. She
enjoyed fishing, bowling, and playing cards; Martha
was also an avid Chicago Cubs fan. Above all else,
Martha loved her family and friends.
Services for Martha will be held at 2:00P.M. on
Friday, December 22, 2017 at Zion Lutheran Church in
Lincoln with Rev. Mark Thompson officiating.
Visitation will be held from 5:00-7:00P.M. on
Thursday, December 21, 2017 at
Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home in Lincoln.
Burial will take place after the services at New
Union Cemetery in Lincoln.
Memorial donations may be made in
Martha’s name to Zion Lutheran School or Illinois
Council of The Blind.
