TE Adam Shaheen (chest)
practiced on a limited basis Wednesday after missing last week's
game with an injury suffered in the victory over Cincinnati on Dec.
10. More on his status will be known later in the week.
LB Jonathan Anderson was signed on Wednesday. Anderson has already
played in 10 games this season for the Bears and has been on and off
the practice squad.
WR Josh Bellamy (foot) practiced Wednesday on a limited basis after
suffering the injury against Detroit. He is day-to-day and his
status will be decided later in the week.
G Tom Comtpon (concussion) is in the NFL protocol after leaving
Sunday's game with the injury. Compton's absence would be a huge
blow for the line if Josh Sitton is also out. Compton was able to
practice on Wednesday on a limited basis, so the possibility exists
he'll get through the protocol by Sunday.
G Josh Sitton (ankle) did not practice on Wednesday and his status
for Sunday's game is in question. He left with an injury against
Detroit and didn't return. He could be replaced by either Cody
Whitehair, Bradley Sowell or Tom Compton if unable to play.
S Chris Prosinski (concussion) practiced Wednesday on a limited
basis after a head injury against Detroit. Prosinski will be a
late-week decision and is in the NFL protocol.
[to top of second column] |
WR Kendall Wright has 17 catches for 188 yards the last two weeks.
It's apparent Wright has become Mitchell Trubisky's go-to guy.
Wright has stepped forth after Dontrelle Inman became more of an
outside threat. With teams protecting the outside more, Trubisky is
working more over the middle and Wright is a good possibility as a
receiving threat. ... Another good option is Inman. The Bears should
be able to attack in this game downfield, and Inman would be a
potential target.
LB Pernell McPhee (shoulder) went on injured reserve Wednesday (Dec.
20) due to an injury suffered Dec. 3 against San Francisco. McPhee
sat out the win over Cincinnati the following week and tried to play
through the injury last week, but left the 20-10 loss to the Lions.
S Adrian Amos (hamstring) is ready to play again after missing three
games. Amos had been one of the team's most improved players while
starting in Games 4 through 12, but was hurt Nov. 26 against
Philadelphia at a time when injuries struck several Bears at that
position. Amos is likely to play unless he has a setback in practice
this week.
