[February 01, 2017]  LINCOLN - Deborah Eckert, 67, of Lincoln passed away at 1:51 a.m. on January 25, 2017 at Abraham Lincoln Hospital in Lincoln.
 

Visitation: 10:00-11:00 a.m. Saturday, January 28, 2017 at Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home in Lincoln

Service: 11:30 a.m. on Saturday at the funeral home

Obituary

Deborah Eckert, 67, of Lincoln passed away at 1:51 a.m. on January 25, 2017 at Abraham Lincoln Hospital in Lincoln.

Deborah was born March 31, 1949 in Terre Haute, IN., the daughter of Richard Cooley and Juney Cooley-Rowe. She married Robert Eckert on September 4, 1978 in Tuscola, her home town. He survives.

Deborah is also survived by her daughter, Jamie Lee (Fiance, Seth Peacock) Eckert of Peoria, her son, Dr. Andrew R. (Rene) Eckert of Dillsburg, PA; her grandchildren, Isabella Eckert, Ethan Eckert, Zoey Peacock, Austin Musser, and Tyler Musser; her sister, Cathie Bradley of Auburn, her step-mother, Ruth Cooley of Harrisburg, and her special baby, Oreo Poodle.

Deborah was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Charles Williams.

Deborah graduated from Tuscola high school in 1967 and from Eastern Illinois University in 1972. She was employed at Logan/Mason Rehab Center as a QMRP and retired from there.

Deborah loved collecting anything Raggedy Ann and Andy and had enough ‘Raggedy’ ornaments to entirely decorate her Christmas tree. She also collected Pipka old fashioned Santa Clauses, and anything black & white chickens. She loved learning about family history. She was a member of Holy Family Parish in Lincoln.

Services for Deborah will held at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, January 28, 2017 at Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home in Lincoln, with Rev. Curt Weaver officiating. A visitation will be held from 10:00-11:00 a.m. Saturday, January 28, 2017 also at the funeral home. Burial will take place at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Lincoln.

Memorial donations may be made in Deborah’s name to Disabled American Veterans, or American Diabetes Association.
