			Feb 1 (The Sports Xchange) - Ken 
			Hitchcock, just one win away from tying for the third-most victories 
			by a coach in the history of the NHL, was fired Wednesday by the St. 
			Louis Blues. 
 Mike Yeo, the former head coach of the Minnesota Wild who was hired 
			as the "coach in waiting" by the Blues last summer when Hitchcock 
			announced that this would be his final season, will take over the 
			head coaching duties beginning with Thursday night's game against 
			the Toronto Maple Leafs.

 The Dallas Stars acquired goaltender Justin Peters and defenseman 
			Justin Hache from the Arizona Coyotes in exchange for forwards 
			Brendan Ranford and Branden Troock.
 
 Peters, 30, split the 2016-17 season between Arizona and the Tucson 
			Roadrunners of the American Hockey League. Hache, 23, split the 
			2016-17 campaign between Tucson and the Rapid City Rush of the ECHL.

 The Ottawa Senators acquired forward Marc Hagel from the Minnesota 
			Wild in exchange for future considerations.
 
 Hagel, 28, is in his fourth professional season, spending the 
			majority of his career with the Iowa Wild of the American Hockey

 The Boston Bruins recalled goaltender Zane McIntyre from the 
			Providence Bruins of the American Hockey League.
 
 The Bruins also assigned goalie Anton Khudobin to their AHL 
			affiliate.

			McIntyre, 24, played in seven games with Boston in 2016-17, posting 
			an 0-3-1 record with a 3.95 goals-against average and .860 save 
			percentage.

 The Washington Capitals reassigned defenseman Christian Djoos to the 
			Hershey Bears of the American Hockey League.
 
			 
			Djoos, 22, has 26 points (five goals, 21 assists) in 35 games with 
			Hershey this season. The Gothenburg, Sweden, native ranks third on 
			the team in assists and fifth in points.
 Djoos was drafted by the Capitals in the seventh round of the 2012 
			NHL draft.

 Two players taken five picks apart in the 2012 NHL Entry draft were 
			traded for each other.
 
 The Edmonton Oilers acquired forward Henrik Samuelsson from the 
			Arizona Coyotes in exchange for fellow forward Mitchell Moroz.
