Lincoln Junior High Volleyball Results

[February 02, 2017]  Over the weekend the 8th grade volleyball team from Lincoln Junior High travelled to Tremont to play in a tournament on Saturday. There they faced off with three teams that they might possibly see later on in the season during their regionals.

The morning started off with a loss to Dee-Mack with scores of 26-28 and 12-25.

Stats from that game were:

Ashley Schmidt: 5 aces, 1 block
Elise Dawson: 4 aces, 2 kills
Orion Decker: 2 kills, 1 assist, 1 block
Jasmine Davis: 2 kills

The Trojans wouldn't let that first match upset them. They came out the rest of the day on top of their game sweeping Midwest Central in two games 25-9 and 25-7.

Elise Dawson: 6 aces, 2 kills
Ashley Schmidt: 6 aces, 1 kill, 7 assists
Sesleigh Peacock: 5 aces
Jacey Cooper: 1 ace, 3 kills
Ryen Stoltzenburg: 3 aces, 1 kill
Autumn Shaffer: 2 aces

They went on that afternoon to take on the Tournament hosts, Tremont, where they took 2 games from the Turks with scores of 25-10 and 25-17.

Ashley Schmidt: 1 ace, 8 assists
Jacey Cooper: 1 ace, 4 kills

The Trojans ended in a 3 way tie for first place and game out on top with least points allowed between the three teams. Should make for an intense Regional at the end of the month.
