Obituary
William A. Moos, 69, of Springfield passed away on
Saturday, January 21, 2017 at his home.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on
Wednesday, January 25, 2017 at 11:30 a.m. at Holy
Family Catholic Church in Lincoln with Rev. Simon
Taabu officiating.
Visitation will be held from 10:30a.m on Wednesday,
January 25, 2017 until time of service t the church
prior to the Mass.
Burial will be in Holy Cross Cemetery in Lincoln.
Military Rites will be accorded by Lincoln American
Legion Post # 263.
William Anthony Moos was born on June 20, 1947 in
Lincoln the son of William Franklin and Ruth Irene
Watson Moos.
He is survived by one sister: Kay Moos, Four
brothers: Daniel ( Rosemarie) Moos, Tim Moos, Jerry
Moos, Patrick Moos.
Nieces and Nephews: Megan Moos, Brian (Shannon)
Moos, Brandy (Rachad) Bradley, Dawn (Mileham)
Zastrow, Rob (Megan) Mileham, Myles (Maddie) Moos,
Hope Moos. |
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Bill graduated from the Lincoln Community High
School in 1965. He then served in the United
States Marines for four years during the Vietnam
Conflict. He retired from the State of Illinois
where he worked for Central Management Service.
Bill was a member of the Knights of Columbus Council
#1250 where he is a 3rd Degree Knight and Lincoln
American Legion Post # 263.
Memorials may be made to Carroll Catholic School.
Peasley Funeral Home is assisting the family with
funeral arrangements.
