| Dear Citizens of Lincoln,
There is no question that we have four viable candidates running for
Mayor of Lincoln. Some of them I have known for a long time and
consider as family friends. But come February 28th, I will be
casting my vote for Kevin Bateman. Kevin's credentials as a
dedicated public servant under the Logan County Board have been well
documented over the past several years.

In my time working with Kevin in county government, I have found
that he is never afraid to speak his mind, he is completely
trustworthy and incorruptible. If he were to become elected as our
next chosen mayor, I am certain his commitment to accountability in
government will promote an atmosphere of openness in the area of
city finances and policies. He exhausts every avenue when it comes
to saving our taxpayers money. His goals for the city's streets,
sewers and police and firefighter pensions show his dedication to
fiscal solvency. In addition, I believe Kevin will be a true
advocate for Lincoln residents and I confidently recommend him for
			this office.

As a current Logan County Board member, Kevin is on-call 24-7 now
and has been since he was first elected. He acceptes phone calls,
text messages, emails and even in-person visits any time of the day
or night from those in need. Although he intends on continuing his
full-time work obligations in order to support his family, there is
no doubt in my mind that he will be a successful, dedicated mayor. I
personally know how much time and commitment being Mayor takes. I've
seen it all first hand from when my mom was Mayor of Lincoln for
eight years. I can confidently say that Mr. Bateman will have no
			problem with this matter.
 [to top of second
			column] |
We need a mayor who will not be afraid to take on difficult and
complex issues at city hall. If you want to see honest, altruistic
and accountable people in government, please join me in supporting
Kevin Bateman for Mayor of Lincoln.
With all of this being said, I truly hope all four candidates and
their supporters can walk away as friends once the voters make their
choice. We should not hold grudges and instead support whomever our
next mayor will be. Lincoln will not prosper and be successful if we
are not continuing to challenge ourselves to be better and to unite
			as one.

 Sincerely,
 Emily Davenport
