[February 15, 2017]    Feb 14 (The Sports Xchange) - Cleveland Cavaliers forward Kevin Love underwent successful arthroscopic surgery to remove a loose body from his left knee in New York on Tuesday and is expected to miss six weeks.

According to the Cavaliers, Love sustained the injury during the team's 125-109 win over the Denver Nuggets on Saturday.

Love, 28, was scheduled to represent Cleveland along with teammates LeBron James and Kyrie Irving at the NBA All-Star Game next Sunday in New Orleans.

The four-time All-Star is Cleveland's leading rebounder (11.1 per game) and third-leading scorer (20 points per game) over 46 games this season.

Serge Ibaka is headed north of the border after the Orlando Magic agreed to trade the three-time all-defensive first teamer to the Toronto Raptors for Terrence Ross and a 2017 first-round pick.

Ibaka, 27, was traded to the Magic last offseason after spending seven seasons with Oklahoma City in a deal that featured Victor Oladipo. Ibaka averaged 15.1 points, 6.8 rebounds and 1.6 blocks in 56 games with Orlando.

Ross, 26, is averaging 10.4 points through 54 games in his fifth season in Toronto.

Charles Oakley's ban from Madison Square Garden lasted less than a week.

The former New York Knicks player was banned from the team's home games last Friday after his highly-publicized altercation with security, who forcibly removed him from the arena during last Wednesday's game.

He was arrested and charged with three misdemeanor counts of assault and one misdemeanor count of trespassing.

On Tuesday, a Madison Square Garden source told ESPN the ban was lifted, one day after NBA commissioner Adam Silver met with Knicks owner James Dolan and Oakley. Michael Jordan, a friend and former teammate of Oakley, also participated in the discussion via telephone. (Editing by Larry Fine) ))
