to Hold Free Seminar on Men's Health

SPRINGFIELD – Memorial Medical
Center will host a free seminar on men's health on Thursday, Feb. 23, at
First United Methodist Church, 2941 S. Koke Mill Road.

The program, “Men's Health Tune-Up,” begins at 5:30 p.m. with
several free health screenings and a complimentary light pulled pork
dinner followed by the formal program at 6 p.m.
The formal one-hour program will feature Dr. Robert Bussing, an
internal medicine physician with Memorial Physician Services-Koke
Mill, and Dr. Tobias Köhler, an associate professor of surgery with
SIU School of Medicine's division of urology and director of the
onco-fertility program at the Simmons Cancer Institute.

Bussing and Köhler will lead a presentation on six men's health topics:
cardiovascular disease, lung cancer, prostate cancer, depression and suicide,
diabetes, and erectile dysfunction and infertility. The presentation will
include a question-and-answer session.
Health screenings will also be offered from 7 to 8 p.m. after the physicians'
program concludes. They are fitness age, prediabetes risk, blood sugar,
cholesterol and body fat analysis.
No advance registration is necessary.
