The Washington Capitals acquired defenseman Tom Gilbert from the Los
Angeles Kings for future considerations.
Gilbert, 34, will report to the Hershey Bears of the American Hockey
League. Gilbert recorded five points (one goal, four assists) in 18
games with the Kings this season.

The Los Angeles Kings recalled forward Adrian Kempe and defenseman
Paul LaDue from the Ontario Reign of the American Hockey League.
Kempe, 20, has 19 points (11 goals, eight assists) and 38 penalty
minutes in 43 games during his second season with Ontario. LaDue,
24, went scoreless in one game during his assignment to Ontario on
Feb. 11.

The San Jose Sharks recalled forwards Timo Meier and Nikolay
Goldobin and defenseman Tim Heed from the San Jose Barracuda of the
American Hockey League.

Meier, 20, has three goals, two assists and 63 shots on goal in 25
games for the Sharks this season.
Goldobin, 21, ranks third on the Barracuda in both points (37) and
assists (24) in 43 games this season, and his 13 goals are
fourth-best on the team.
Heed, 26, made his NHL debut with the Sharks on Jan. 11 at Calgary,
