Obituary
Laura M. Barger, 60, of Chestnut, passed away
February 10, 2017, at her home.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. on
Monday, February 20, 2017, at Holland Barry &
Bennett Funeral Home. Funeral services will be
Monday at 1 p.m. also at the funeral home with
Pastor Larry Crawford Officiating. Burial will
follow in Laenna Cemetery, Chestnut.
Laura was born December 15, 1956, in Geary Kansas,
the daughter of Dwight E. and Mildred E. (Colgrove)
Allen. She married James "Jim" Barger on December
23, 1991. He preceded her in death on August 12,
2013.
She was an LPN and worked at several area nursing
homes. She loved her grandchildren and her dog
Prudence and was always ready for a good time. |
Surviving are her son Shawn Duke; step-children Sonja Barger and James Barger
II; grandchildren Tayleigh, Anayah, Hallie, and Sage; and her friend Kathi
Merreighn.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Jim, and her brother James.
