The Calgary Flames acquired defenseman Michael Stone from the
Arizona Coyotes in exchange for Calgary's third-round pick in 2017
and a conditional fifth-round pick in 2018, the Flames announced
Monday.
The Coyotes will get that fifth-round pick if Stone agrees to
re-sign with the Flames during the offseason.
Stone, a third-round pick by the Coyotes in the 2008 draft, has
played 45 games for Arizona this seasons and recorded nine points
(one goal, eight assists).

Winnipeg Jets defenseman Jacob Trouba was suspended two games by the
NHL for an illegal check to the head of Ottawa Senators forward Mark
Stone.
Trouba lowered the boom with an open-ice elbow to the head of Stone
6:42 into the third period of Winnipeg's 3-2 victory in Ottawa on
Sunday. Stone was unable to return to the game following the hit by
the 22-year-old Trouba, who was assessed a minor penalty for an
illegal check to the head on the play.

The St. Louis Blues activated forward Paul Stastny from injured
reserve in time for Monday night's game against the Florida
Panthers.
Stastny, 31, has been sidelined for the past four games after
suffering a lower-body injury in the Blues' 2-1 overtime win on Feb.
9 in Toronto.

The San Jose Sharks activated defenseman Dylan DeMelo from injured
reserved.
DeMelo, 23, has been out since suffering a wrist injury against the
Edmonton Oilers on Jan. 10. He has a goal and three assists in 14
games this season.

The Sharks also reassigned forwards Kevin Labanc, Nikolay Goldobin
and Marcus Sorensen and defenseman Mirco Mueller to the San Jose
Barracuda of the American Hockey League.

Ottawa Senators defenseman Fredrik Claesson signed a one-year deal
worth $650,000.
Claesson has collected five assists in 19 games with Ottawa this
season. The 24-year-old Swede has seen an uptick in playing time of
late by competing in five of the team's last six contests.
Claesson was scheduled to be a restricted free agent this summer.

The Minnesota Wild recalled forward Tyler Graovac from the Iowa Wild
of the American Hockey League.
Graovac, 23, has six goals, 37 shots on goal and six penalty minutes
in 45 games with Minnesota this season.

The Buffalo Sabres assigned forwards Justin Bailey, Nicholas
Baptiste and Evan Rodrigues to the Rochester Americans of the
American Hockey League.
