            ATLANTA - Edna E. Gaither, 85, 
			of Atlanta, passed away at 7:42 a.m., today, Sunday, November 20, 
			2016, at her home.  |

							Wednesday, November 23, at 10:00 a.m. at the Atlanta 
							Christian Church. Service:
							Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. at at the church

							Obituary 
							Edna E. Gaither, 85, of Atlanta, passed away at 7:42 
							a.m. on Sunday, November 20, 2016, at her home.
 Funeral services for Mrs. Gaither will be on 
							Wednesday, November 23, at 11:00 a.m. at the Atlanta 
							Christian Church. Mr. Maurice Stribling will 
							officiate. Burial will follow in the Atlanta 
							Cemetery.
 
 Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 
							a.m. at the church on Wednesday prior to the funeral 
							service.
 
 Edna E. Brooks was born September 9, 1931, in 
							Atlanta, the daughter of Ord and Eliza Austin 
							Brooks. She married Billie Ray "Bill" Gaither on 
							October 27, 1950. He survives.
 
 Edna is also survived by her children: David R. 
							Gaither and Julie (Gary) Frantz, both of Atlanta; 
							five grandchildren: David L. (Ashley) Gaither, 
							Jordan (Taylor) Gaither, Kyle Gaither, Jason 
							(Allyson) Frantz and Alex Frantz; one 
							great-grandson: Brodi Vitale; and one brother: 
							Kenneth Brooks of Lincoln.

                She was preceded in death by four brothers: Glenn Brooks, 
				Charles Brooks, Harold Brooks, and Herman Brooks.
 Edna was a loving wife, mother, and a kind and caring 
				grandmother. She used her life to serve others. We thank God for 
				the blessing she was to each one of us.
 
 Edna's family is also thankful for the care she received from 
				OSF Home Care Services and Elizabeth Cleveland and staff.
 
 Edna was a member of the Atlanta Christian Church where she 
				served her church family in whatever way she could.
 
 Memorials may be made to the Atlanta Christian Church or Atlanta 
				Rescue Squad.
 
 Final arrangements are entrusted with Quiram-Peasley Funeral 
				Home of Atlanta.
