			of Mount Pulaski passed away at 9:16 p.m. on Thursday, December 22, 
			2016 at Abraham Lincoln Memorial Hospital in Lincoln. |

							Obituary 
							 
							MOUNT PULASKI - Frederick W. Stahl, 97, of Mount 
							Pulaski passed away at 9:16 p.m. on Thursday, 
							December 22, 2016 at Abraham Lincoln Memorial 
							Hospital in Lincoln.
 Fred was born on April 12, 1919 in Dunlap, the son 
							of Louis and Rose (Geiger) Stahl. He married Eleanor 
							Wiesehan on July 18, 1948 in Peoria.
 
 Fred is survived by his wife as well as many nieces 
							and nephews.
 
 He was preceded in death by his parents, five 
							sisters and five brothers.
 
 Fred proudly served his country during WWII from 
							1941-1945 serving in Northern Africa, Italy, and 
							Sicily. He was an Alderman under Mayor Frank Altman. 
							Fred was a member and elder of Zion Lutheran Church 
							in Mt. Pulaski. Fred was the operator of Stahl’s 
							Hardware and in business with his brothers Carl and 
							Edwin at Stahl’s Furniture and Stahl’s Implement.

							Services for Fred will be held at 11:00 a.m. on 
							Wednesday, December 28, 2016 at Zion Lutheran Church 
							in Mount Pulaski, with Rev. Jonathan Buescher 
							officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior 
							to services (10:00-11:00 a.m.) on Wednesday, 
							December 28, 2016 also at the church. Burial will 
							take place after the service at Mount Pulaski 
							Cemetery where full military rites will be accorded 
							by American Legion post #447. 
 Memorial donations may be made in Fred’s name to 
							Zion Lutheran Church & School, Vonderlieth Living 
							Center, or American Legion Post #447.
 
 Services have been entrusted to 
							Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home, Mount Pulaski.
