On Saturday morning, New
Year's Eve, shoppers at the Big R in Lincoln had the opportunity to
meet a sweet dog or cat that could become a forever member of their
family in 2017.
Volunteers from the Humane Society of Logan County were on hand with
several adult cats, a bunch of kittens and a couple of great little
dogs, all looking to start the new year in a new home.
Shoppers stopped by and met the animals, playing with them and
getting to know them while talking to volunteers about the pet
adoption process. While the cats and kittens could not be taken out
of the safe cages, those wishing to adopt were invited to come to
the HSLC shelter in the afternoon for some hands-on experience with
the animal they were interested in adopting.
