Josh Dyer named December Senior-of-the-month at Mount Pulaski High School

[January 05, 2017]  MOUNT PULASKI - Josh Dyer, son of Tracy and Amy Dyer of Mt. Pulaski, has been named December- Senior-of-the-month at Mount Pulaski High School. He was selected for this honor based on the criteria of scholarship, leadership, service, and character.

At MPHS, Josh stays actively involved. He is a member of FCCLA and the Parliamentary procedure team, also a member of scholastic bowl, pep and concert band, Drama Club, NHS, WYSE, Spanish club, and Science Olympiad. He also played basketball and soccer. Josh has earned many awards during his time at MPHS- IHSA Scholastic Achievement Award, Silver Medal at nationals for FCCLA Parliamentary Procedure team and Gold at the state level, and third place in Chemistry for WYSE.

Josh is also actively involved in his church. As a member of the Mt. Pulaski Christian Church, he is actively involved in youth group and plays guitar, piano, and bass for the worship band.
Josh plans to attend Purdue University and study computer graphics and animation.

The Senior-of-the-Month program is sponsored by Johnson True Value Hardware. Monthly award winners receive a $50 award paid to the college they plan to attend. They are also in the running for the $500 Senior-of-the-Year award sponsored by Illinois National Bank.
