Jan 6 (The Sports Xchange) - The
Boston Bruins recalled goaltender Zane McIntyre from Providence of
the American Hockey League on Friday.
McIntyre, 24, is undefeated with Providence in 2016-17, compiling a
10-0-0 record.
The Bruins also assigned goaltender Anton Khudobin to Providence.
Khudobin, 30, played in eight games (seven starts) with Boston this
season, compiling a 1-5-1 record with a 3.06 goals-against average
and .885 save percentage.

The Washington Capitals recalled forward Liam O'Brien from the
Hershey Bears of the AHL.
O'Brien, 22, has one goal and one assist in 13 career games with the
Capitals.
The Halifax, Nova Scotia, native signed with Washington as a free
agent on Oct. 6, 2014.

The Chicago Blackhawks assigned Swedish defenseman Gustav Forsling
and forward Spencer Abbott to the Rockford IceHogs of the AHL.
Forsling, 20, has one goal and three assists in 32 games in his
first season with the Blackhawks.

Abbott,
28, appeared in one game with the Blackhawks this season after being
recalled from Rockford on Tuesday.

The Dallas Stars loaned defenseman Patrik Nemeth to the Texas Stars
of the AHL on a conditioning assignment.
Nemeth, 24, has been in 16 games with Dallas in 2016-17 but has yet
to record a point, making 17 hits, 19 blocked shots and 18 shots on
goal. He skated in 84 career regular-season NHL games, all with
