Logan County Arts planning 2017 year,
invites interested artists to join

LINCOLN
- Logan County Arts, the local artists’ association that has held
free monthly art exhibits for the community for the last five years,
is gearing up for its new season.

This year, members’ art shows will focus on themes such as
“Profiles and Portraits”, “Inspired by … “ and “Back to Nature.”
Invitations to mount exhibitions are also being extended to several
area organizations which have held successful shows in the past.
The group also provides members with periodic technique workshops
on topics such as figure drawing and framing artwork. Exhibits and
workshops are held in the Lincoln Art Institute Gallery, 112 S.
McLean St., Lincoln.
LCA’s first monthly meeting of 2017 will be held at 7:00 pm, January
16 at the Salvation Army Kiest Center, 307 N. Kickapoo St., Lincoln.

Members include professional and amateur artists and art
lovers with a wide variety of interests, including painting,
sculpture, photography and poetry. Annual dues of $40 cover
exhibit expenses and provide art-related equipment for members’
use.
Anyone interested in learning more about LCA or joining the group
is welcome to attend the January meeting.
